The most interesting feature of Saturday morning is the options. With kith and kin at home and the shops open there’s any number of things we could all do. But because Saturday comes after Friday it has its promised handicapped by the coincidence.
Now if Saturday could replace Sunday -- then a whole new world of opportunity could be fostered. The fact that nowadays Sunday is looking a lot like Saturday --with the shops open, sporting fixtures and now without its Sunday night movie -- hasn't impacted on it greatly primarily I suspect because Monday follows close by. I guess that even if Saturday replaced Sunday, Saturday still would have the Monday problem bearing down on it.
Better that Monday becomes Sunday and we have two Saturdays each week.
But then I've always been quite keen on Thursdays. I guess its the pay day connection. So two paydays would be nice
