ITEM:Sacked Legally --THE stars of a union ad campaign attacking the Federal Government's workplace laws have nobody to blame but themselves for being out of work, the industrial relations watchdog found.

Office of Workplace Services (OWS) is the 'watchdog' being referred to. That's the body which has ruled standardly in favour of employers since its inception under the new IR rules. That is what "sacked legally" means.
But if you protest, like go out on strike --as the 107 CFMEU workers did in Perth -- you're fined legally.Then if you don't pay-- well then, you're jailed...
Legally, of course.
