I have mentioned previously my keen quest to see what I can harness from VoIP telephony --especially the EyeBeam softphone. I just got my Let's Chat handset (for $AUD20) and started to make calls that way. So I phoned a friend on a landline and this is the resultant audio. >>
Not bad eh? I can fiddle with the different volumes at each end of the call but the tones are excellent. The audio file squishes to 22khz which may be a complication as I pull in sound grabs at 44kHz but I'm sure there's a work around. You see, to utilize flash players your kHz should always be multiples of eleven otherwise the sound chipmuncks. Don't ask me why. I don't know.
